I've been running clinchers on my TLR wheels and they were a pain to seat as certain sections were too deep in the rim for some odd reason until they finally seated correctly after coaxing them in various ways. The Halibrand magnesium 10 spokes were the problem in my case, I had to turn them down on the lathe to get todays tires to fit yesterdays are M&H 22x3 1/2x15. Slightly off, enough to give the illusion of a bent rim. Maybe the wires that run through the bread of the tire snapped, allowing the bead to stretch easily on and off the seating point of the rim. Hey fellas, I am having trouble getting the rear tire on the ultra to seat. Use a 2" ratchet strap tighten it a bit on the center of the tire. It doesn't need to be really tight so just a little bit can help. Whacked it with the bead blaster, and got 3/4 of the bead to seat. FWIW, I have seen a tire having a small nodule of extra rubber sometimes... Tire isn't seating evenly. maybe this is another case of that... Aaarg!
