Honor the memory of loved ones who have passed on during the 31st annual Tree of Life and Candlelight Services of Remembrance, hosted by Community Hospice & Palliative Care on Thursday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 7. This year, with all that we have lived through during the pandemic, we especially want to invite anyone in our community, no matter when then their loved one passed, to join us on the beautiful campus of the Chapman Center.

Tree Of Life Community
During the campaign the community has the opportunity to light a light on the tree in honor or memory of a special person in their life, making this a sentimental favorite of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and the community alike. The list will be updated regularly. Set for 5 to 7 p. m. Thursday at the regional hospice's Mandarin headquarters, the event includes a candlelight service of remembrance with music, verse and reflection in front of trees whose lights represent the adults and children lost and cared for by the agency. Trees of Life is a time-honored annual community tradition which remembers those we love through the purchase of a light, an ornament or a starburst. The celebration includes a personal reflection by a family whose used hospice services for a loved one, the reading of the memorial names by hospice team members & volunteers, inspirational music, and the lighting of our Tree of Life. The name of the honored person is printed on a decorative paper ornament and placed on the Tree of Life found in the lobby of the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center in Walla Walla.
