I also never felt like rushing to the next POV which was a first for me, I loved that. If you liked beasts of prey, you'll love this sequel! I enjoyed this book and story however the person reading for Koffi is awful she didn't do any accents and read it really bad even when she did Ekon voice making it sound like a 10 year old girl. All first drafts are bad, and by design they're supposed to be because that's the time to get to know the story's heart. This book did not fall in the second book syndrome slump AT ALL.
