Removing Drive Shaft

Pretty sure that's going to be the issue, but will find out for sure tomorrow morning at the transmission shop. I have removed my final drive and driveshaft, while re-installing my wheels with new tires, and I can't get them back on the bike. Loosened the rubber boot near transfer case and put a pry bar in between the Yoke but the driveshaft will not push back into transfer case giving me the clearance to remove it. I am about a half an inch from seating the final drive on the swing arm. Check out this Link for Correct Assembly. My problem is I absolutely can not get it to slide forward to allow me to set it in the u-joint! Fast forward to tonight, the driveshaft now slips in to the 727 fine and goes up to the point where it sits when finally installed (can tell by the surface rust line at the front and where the caps meet the u-joint in the rear. 4-bolt owners don't have it so nice. Basically this is seized due to rust. Drive Shaft wont go back in. New question, what kind of grease is used in there? So I was able to get the nut connecting the two drive shafts off but I still can't get the rear shaft off of the diff; definitely don't have slots so I will keep trying with the pry bar. It does appear the jamming is right at the splines... Even if I'm not posting. Been there, used a dremmel to clean things up but eventually mine, lookin kinda like yours, to be replaced. I also realize that the transfer yoke is supposed to slide some to allow movement for the drive shaft.
