I think the problem solving aspects, but I'll show the social aspects, it really did save him and gave him a way to interact with his friends that he would not have had. And that would have been an interesting way to handle it, actually, and it never really crossed my mind to do that. Now, if you're thinking this all seems a little far-fetched, DON'T! And I think generally in fiction, some authors, and me included, do have the tendency to if something happens on a Monday in a book, even a totally linear book, I then want to write about all of Monday, all of Tuesday, all of Wednesday, because that's how you experience life. And I think that's such a human desire to do that, as you say, to see people that have passed away, but also to see somebody's past self. Thanks to its great story Wrong Place Wrong Time was pretty damn cool, and I really enjoyed its impressive concept that combines time travel with an intriguing murder mystery. Me: a time loop book? When I was going back through it this morning, preparing for this interview, I was flipping through the whole book, but then I reread the end just to kind of have it back with me, and I was getting chills all over again.
