The Will Of God Will Not Take You
When I recently searched, again, on the "will of God", I came across the site on which is posted, The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you. But it is the comfortable conviction of all God's people that "all things work together for good to them that love God;" and that God ruleth and overruleth, and reigneth in all acts of men and in all events that transpire; from seeming evil still producing good, and better still, and better still in infinite progression, still ordering all things according to the counsel of his will. As you read Scripture, you will understand more about God's character and be better able to know what He wants. Do me the pleasure, then, to use your Bibles for a moment or two, and let us see what Scripture saith on this main point. When we make big decisions, we can take comfort in His sovereign will, because no matter what we do, we cannot ruin God's ultimate plans. It is utterly impossible that human language could have put a stronger negative on the vainglorious claims of the human will than this passage does: "Born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. " Sometimes, your decision is made for you. Can't God do everything? Where the spirit of God cannot work through you, Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you, Where the army of God cannot protect you, Where the hands of God cannot mold you. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed (James 1:14-15). You can use the space provided to add up to 5 lines of text. But not just to love in a superficial way but in the same way Jesus demonstrated his love for us by giving his life (John 15:12-13, 17). In these passages— and they are not the only ones— the new birth is peremptorily and in the strongest language put down as being the fruit and effect of the will and purpose of God.

Do not forget the importance of being thankful to God for all that He does for you! We close, then, by noticing that according to Scripture there is not a single blessing in the new covenant which is not conferred upon us according to the will of God, and that as the vessel hangs upon the nail, so every blessing we receive hangs upon the absolute will and counsel of God, who gives these mercies even as he gives the gifts of the Spirit according as he wills. You Shall Not Take The Name Of God In Vain
No trial has taken you but such as follows the nature of man. The only temptations that you have are the temptations that all people have. This chapter in John goes on to talk about remaining in God's love leading up to a new command to love one another. The church eventually grew, we reached many with the Gospel, we became self-supporting right on schedule, I began to hire staff, God provided a building, I never missed a single paycheck. In 1 John 4:19, the source our ability to love in this way is clearly shown. Paul drives home this difference between temptation and suffering in the next sentence: But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. " Because God Himself tells us, and God cannot lie and God cannot change. God tells us in His Word, in Malachi 3:6, "I am the Lord, I change not. " To really understand what God is saying to you, be open to God guiding you in any direction. One theme that all parts of Scripture take up in one way or another is the will of God. The Will Of God Will Not Take You Where The Grace Of God
The Bible tells us, "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. In times of uncertainty, you can remember God's permanent will that once you become a child of God, nothing can separate you from His love. No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. All Rights Reserved. You've seen it, haven't you? He guides through Scripture, His people, and the Holy Spirit within us. And indeed this is why the saints go to heaven at all, because in the seventeenth chapter of John, Christ is recorded as praying, "Father, I will that they also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. " But John especially characterizes the whole of Jesus' ministry in terms of conformity with the will of God. But God is faithful: he won't let you be tested beyond your ability.
Start today, from this moment forward, as a new day. I've been sowing seeds for about 50 years. The Bible says in 1 John 1:10: "If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him [God] a liar. " God gives you emotions and desires, so listening to them is part of this process. But other things, like knowing the right time to buy a house or whether you should go back to school, are not covered in the Bible. Recently my daily Bible reading brought me to the story of Joseph. But you shouldn't let them cloud your vision as you consider different sources of guidance. Turn to God in prayer and ask Him what He wants you to do.
